About the campaign
In Canada, 1 in 3 children is at risk of going to school on an empty stomach. This hinders their development: their learning abilities, overall behavior, their physical and mental health. At Pourquoi Pas, raising awareness about social justice issues like food insecurity experienced by children — including and especially Indigenous children — is important. Together, we can make a difference by supporting local and national organizations across the globe.
Founder, Mimi Moore, is currently walking the Camino de Compostel (800km) to raise awareness about the devastating and life-lasting effects of food insecurity experienced by children and to raise money for Breakfast Club of Canada whose mandate is to deliver nutritious breakfasts and foster a caring and inclusive environment, where children and youth can flourish.
In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, know that your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of children across Canada.
